About Eva
Hello! Welcome to our site, Mama’s Hungarian Kitchen. My name is Eva Toth
Zelenka. I am 57 years old, born and raised in Debrecen, a beautiful city in
eastern Hungary. After a 36-year career as an Economic Manager, I moved to the
US in March 2020, to be closer to my two wonderful grandchildren; to watch
them grow up, and to spend as much time with them as possible.
Cooking and baking with love is my passion! After a long day at work, I have
always found it relaxing to prepare home-cooked meals for my family. It makes
me happy when my favorite people find joy in a tasty and delicious meal. It is my
hope that my authentic Hungarian specialties will bring you the same satisfaction
and joy.
Since my English language skills do not allow me to work in the financial field here
in the US, I started Mama’s Hungarian Kitchen to share my love of cooking,
preparing nourishing, authentic, and delicious meals for busy families.
We make every dish according to traditional Hungarian recipes, using only natural
ingredients, without artificial additives. I prepare each meal with the same care
and attention as I would for my own family! In addition to the offerings
highlighted on our Facebook page, I am happy to fulfill requests for other
Hungarian specialties you might be craving.
